Step back into the elegance of the Assam Tea Plantation Era, where leisurely afternoons were spent amidst sprawling gardens, the scent of fresh tea leaves in the air, and the rhythm of life slowed into graceful charm.

The Tea and Coffee Estates of South India too held all their charm on young minds.

The ‘Garden Boys’, as we were known, still hold onto these cherished memories, of carefree days, beautiful sunsets, Tea factory’s which their aroma of tea fermenting in large silos. Of Tea being dried in large roasters and a sea of made tea in packing bays.

In this time, memories of great crafted furniture with intriguing joinery seeded the idea of trying to recreate these timeless beauties. As kids the arrival of this plane was part of our daily prayer. A wait for ‘Goodies’ that came from all over the world.

The clubs were about tea, games, sport, and festivities—it was a way of life, but by welcoming a cross-section versed in taste and etiquette.
